The nostromo.kext is installed in /System/Library/Extensions. The keypad does work as if it was the left-half of a standard keyboard, but the Belkin control panel does not recognize a connected device, and my key mappings are not used. These alternatives only provide base input mapping - no advanced features or haptic feedback. The only piece of hardware that is not working properly for me is my old Belkin Nostromo N52 keypad, which uses a USB connection.
